My floor clorhs are made by commission.  I will work with you on your design ideas, matching the colors of your living space. I can also make any of the pictured floor cloths again using the colors of your choice.

-Floor cloths were a traditional floor covering used in many homes during

 the early 18th century.

 

-To prepare the 100% organic cotton canvas I use 6 layers of latex paint on the front 

and on the back. This build up of paint adds weight and body to the floor cloth.  

Through the building up of layers the surface becomes smooth and flexible. 

These “rugs” have a turned canvas edge, mitered corners and strips of rubber 

on the back to prevent slipping on your floor. The final step is the application 

of 5 or 6 coats of 0 VOC non-yellowing acrylic polyurethane. 

 

These painted rugs will last 20 years or more -clean with a soft cloth, mop 

or sponge and a non abrasive soap.
